Gluteal region
Objectives:
1. To understand the surface anatomy of the gluteal region.
2. To understand the cutaneous innervation of the gluteal region.
3. To learn the muscles of the gluteal region, including their attachments, action,
innervations, and blood supply.
4. To learn the ligaments of the pelvis which convert the greater and lesser sciatic
notches into foramen.
5. To learn the structures which pass through the greater and lesser sciatic
foramen.
