The importance of the covenant: • The purpose of this series is for us to come to the understanding that we are no longer only the bride of God, but we also now enjoy the function of a wife within this day. • God needs a virtuous wife who understands her identity, one who is able to give birth to her husbands promises in all areas of her life. • To be virtuous, we need to have the mind of Christ. Reasons for God’s covenant: • A covenant consists of commandments and laws, to empower God’s wife for God’s purpose on earth. • When a bride gets married to her bridegroom they cut a covenant. • Same with God and us. By receiving a covenant we have received a new name and became God’s wife. (Abraham & Sarah) The covenant gave us a new identity: • When Abram received the covenant and was circumcised his name changed from Abram to Abraham. His wife Sarai name also changed to Sarah. • This is also relevant to ourselves as the wife of God. (Transformed from a 13th generation to 14th) • The covenant gave us a new identity, the identity of the new creation God predestined you to be. God’s covenant: Sarai and Sarah Genesis 17:15-16 • 15 Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name. • 16 And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples shall be from her." God’s covenant: Sarai and Sarah Hebrew definition for Sarai: • H8297 • Sarai = “princess” • 1) original name of Sarah the wife of Abram or Abraham Hebrew definition for Sarah: • H8283 • Sarah = “noblewoman” • 1) wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac Root words for both Sarai and Sarah: H8269: • sar • a head person (of any rank or class): - captain (that had rule), chief (captain), general, governor, keeper, lord, ([-task-]) master, prince (ipal), ruler, steward. H8323: • saw-rar' • A primitive root; to have (transitively exercise; reflexively get) dominion: - X altogether, make self a prince, (bear) rule. God’s covenant: Sarai and Sarah • Why is this important for us to understand?? Definition of noble: Belonging to rank or birth= Titled, well born (1 Pet 1:23) Having and showing fine personal qualities or high moral principles = Righteous, virtuous, noble-minded, anti corruption..(1 Cor 2:14-16) • Sarah was the natural type and we are the spiritual antitype. • We are the antitype of Sarah, a noble woman and virtuous wife. The year 2016 for us: G2016: • epiphanēs • Thayer Definition: • Conspicuous, illustrious, Manifest (CiM) G16: • Agathopoiia • Thayer Definition: • From G17; well-doing, that is, virtues • The wife gives birth to the seed she is the protector of the promise. New covenant laws and commandments: Definition of a law and a commandment: Commandment: Authoritative precepts implemented in your life to enjoy a better way of living. Law: His moral instruction especially the precept concerning love. (As He is, so are we in this world) • The reason God chose to write His laws and commandments on your heart is to equip you as an individual to have the mind of Christ and be virtuous. Enabled by His laws and commandments: • It’s very important to know that before God could content together with you as a virtuous wife, a warrior and combatant, he needed to equip you with His laws and commandments, by way of the covenant that he wrote on your heart. • God choose to separate us from religion unto Him. He chose us not only to be His bride but His virtuous wife, we are carriers of His approval, he wanted to content with us as warriors and combatants for his glory. • Glory = His opinion, view and judgment. THE MIND OF CHRIST: The power of the gospel of Christ: Hebrews 9:27-28 • 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, • 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many.(13) To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time(14), apart from sin, for salvation. The mind of Christ: • It is important to look at the principles God wants to teach us in the story of the natural Israel. To understand yourself as God’s spiritual Israel. • Blood of the lamb- Robe of righteousness (Spiritually saved) • Wilderness- Garment of salvation (Salvation of your soul) • Promised land- Completely furnished. (Having dominion as a godkind) The mind of Christ: • Because the church got stuck at the sacrifice (13) they never allowed the word to wash them in truth (salvation of their souls-14) and to sanctify them. • These persons are carnally minded instead of being spiritually minded because of the wrong teachings they received. This cannot be the case in Cimi. The mind of Christ: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 • 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, • 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. The mind of Christ: • God wants His wife (Cimi) to be a follower of Him. Not a follower of men. Definition of follower: A person who supports and admires a particular person or set of ideas. (The King’s legislation) A person who takes an active interest in a particular activity. (Kingdom) • God need’s a wife (Cimi) that admires His ideas (Sound doctrine) and takes an active interest in His activities(kingdom). The mind of Christ: • The wife (Cimi) has obtained the salvation of her soul and has a very important role to play in the second coming of Christ.. 1 Peter 1:9-10 • 9 Receiving the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls. • 10 Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you. The advent of Christ came with grace: Tit 2:11-13 • 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, • 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, • 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing (2015) of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. The advent of Christ came with grace: • God chose to equip us as a body to be able to make a clear distinction between the meaning of the word mercy and grace. • This year be humble and you will enjoy grace. Greek definition of grace: • Of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues (to be a virtuous wife) • what is due to grace?? • The spiritual condition of one governed by the power of divine grace. By grace we have the mind of Christ: • This is the acceptable year of our Lord. • We are accepted in our Beloved, and because of His fullness we can receive grace. Joh 1:16 • 16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. • Because we have received grace, God’s instruction, through his laws and commandments we can be a virtuous wife who provides pleasure to her Husband, we have obtained the salvation of our souls whereof the prophets investigated and searched of. GOD’S EQUAL HELPER HOLY SPIRIT: God’s equal helper- holy spirit: • After all these years, God can have His help meet in this day (7th day). • A wife with His mind, to help Him with His purpose. • It is very interesting that John the beloved, referred to the holy spirit as the helper of God. God’s equal helper- holy spirit: • The moment one gets married you become the equal helper of the person you married. • To be married you need the following: - A covenant - Equal helper/wife. • God married us, this is the reason for the covenant, which makes us His equal helper in this earth. God’s equal helper- holy spirit: • That is why God can also refer to us as His holy spirit, a helper on earth manifesting His dream. We are holy and spirit. • Let look at the definition of the words HOLY and SPIRIT.. Hebrew definition of holy: H6944 • ko'-desh • Apartness, holiness, sacredness. • Set-apartness • Consecrated Greek definition of holy: G40 • hagios • From hagos (an awful thing) • Sacred (physically pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially consecrated: - (most) holy (one, thing), saint. Definition of consecrated: Solemn dedication to a special purpose or service. Association with the sacred. You are holy: • A saint that is physically pure and morally blameless, who is solemnly dedicated to a special purpose through their service because of their association with the sacred God and His leadership. Greek definition of spirit/ghost: G4151 • Pneuma • 1a) sometimes referred to in a way which emphasizes his personality and character • (1b) sometimes referred to in a way which emphasizes his work and power • 1c) never referred to as a depersonalized force • 2) the spirit, i.e. the vital principal by which the body is animated • 2a) the rational spirit, the power by which the human being feels, thinks, decides • 2b) the soul • 3) a spirit, i.e. a simple essence, devoid of all or at least all grosser matter, and possessed of the power of knowing, desiring, deciding, and acting • 4) the disposition or influence which fills and governs the soul of any one • 4a) the efficient source of any power, affection, emotion, desire, etc. God’s equal helper- holy spirit: • By understanding these definitions we can clearly see the words Holy Spirit can also refer to a person consecrated with the mind of Christ. (God’s virtuous wife) • We are holy and we are spirit: • Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. • Eph 1:4 Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love. God’s equal helper- holy spirit: • Today we are solemnly dedicated to our Husband’s special purpose because we understand we are sacred. By our personality and character we can emphasize the true meaning of His love, knowing as He is so are we in this earth. We surrender our thoughts and feelings to be governed and influence by His character and authoritative precepts in all areas of our lives, by knowing He is the efficient source of all our affections, emotions and desire’s. God’s equal helper- holy spirit: • The truth is God wanted an equal helper in this earth, His holy spirit, that is why we have to acknowledge the function of the body of Jesus to be able to make it applicable on our own lives. • John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I (Jesus 13th) go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (virtuous wife) will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him (helper) to you. God’s equal helper- holy spirit: Galatians 2:18-20 • 18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. • 19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. • 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. • 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain." Greek definition of helper/comforter: G3875 • paraklētos • summoned, called to one’s side, especially called to one’s aid • one who pleads another’s cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate • one who pleads another’s cause with one, an intercessor – of Christ in his exaltation at God’s right hand, pleading with God the Father for the pardon of our sins • in the widest sense, a helper, succourer, aider, assistant – of the Holy Spirit destined to take the place of Christ with the apostles (after his ascension to the Father), to lead them to a deeper knowledge of the gospel truth, and give them divine strength needed to enable them to undergo trials and persecutions on behalf of the divine kingdom GOD’S PROMISE: God’s promise: • Act 2:32 This Jesus (14) God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. • Act 2:33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. • Act 2:33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise (anointing) of the Holy Spirit (equal helper), He poured out this (promise-anointing) which you now see and hear (apostles with God’s anointing). • Act 2:36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.“ God’s promise: • Very important to see that Jesus Christ was the first one to receive the promise of the holy spirit. In other words Jesus Christ was the first one to have the anointing to be God’s first equal helper. • He wanted to furnish us with that same anointing (Christ) to be God’s equal helper, this is what’s meant by the promise of the holy spirit. • Let’s look at the definition of promise. Greek root word for promise: • G1861: • epaggellō • From G1909 and the base of G32; to announce upon (reflexively), that is, (by implication) to engage to do something, to assert something respecting oneself: profess, (make) promise. • G32: • ang'-el-os • From (probably derived from G71; compare G34; to bring tidings); a messenger; • especially an angel ; by implication a pastor: angel, messenger. Definition of promise: Promise: Assure someone, that one will definitely do something or that something will happen. G1861 • Epaggelia • announcement that one is about to do or furnish something. By God’s promise we are a helper: • In this passage we can see the anointing of God is Christ which enables an individual to rule as a Lord and a god kind within this world. The promise is Christ in you equipping you to be holy and spirit on earth. We are God’s promise: • Jesus Christ was the first sent messenger of God that was furnished with the anointing and engaged to do something God expected of him. • He gave this for us : - The Promise (Christ, God’s anointing) to be a holy spirit (His equal helper) • God’s promise was a holy spirit, a person that is a lord and Christ in this earth. By the promise we are lords: 1Timothy 6:13-15 • 13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, • 14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, • 15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, • Rev 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" The reason for God’s promise: • God has obtained His promise: Messengers engaged to do his will and to announce that God is furnishing His people. • In this day God can have a virtuous wife after his own heart. A wife not only understanding His will but His ways. Promise revealed: • We are God’s promise to this earth. • At the second coming of Christ His promise (virtuous wife) could be revealed as a Lord and a Christ. GOD’S VIRTUOUS WIFE: God’s virtuous wife: • Where can God find His virtuous wife? • By them who understand His promise and His anointing, a people with a covenant. • Lets see what the word virtuous means. God’s virtuous wife: Virtuous: • having or showing high moral standards • (especially of a woman) chaste. • Righteous, good, moral, morally correct, ethical, upright, upstanding, right minded, right thinking, principled, clean, law abiding, lawful, irreproachable, blameless, guiltless, just, honest, honorable, unbribable, incorruptible, anti corruption. God’s virtuous wife: Proverbs 31:10-18 • 10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. • 11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. • 12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. • 13 She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands. • 14 She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar. God’s virtuous wife: • 15 She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants. • 16 She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard. • 17 She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms. • 18 She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out by night.
