Counting Numbers

Whole Numbers
› The counting numbers and zero

Integers
› The whole numbers and their opposites (negatives)
› {…, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …}
Rational Numbers
› Numbers that can be written as a ratio (fraction) of two
integers.
› Includes positive and negative mixed numbers and
decimals that terminate or repeat.
