4. Evaluate campaign advertising methods and their effectiveness of voter behavior.
5. Define the purposes and types of political party systems and alternative structures as
they exist in the United States.
6. List and explain the major purposes that political parties serve in the United States.
7. Examine the development of the two major parties in our system and analyze the
effectiveness of a two-party system.
8. Explain the organizational structure and impact of our political party system in the
United States on the policymaking process.
9. Describe the election cycle in the United States, especially with regard to electing a
President.
10.Determine the importance of campaign finance laws in the democratic process.
11.Analyze the history of the electoral college process and suggestions for reform and
