Shang Dynasty, existed at one time. In the
south, walled cities with a hierarchical
society existed.
Shang Dynasty became the first
Chinese civilization to keep records
using pictograms that stood for
objects and ideas. Wrote on many
different surfaces from bamboo, to
silk, to bone and bronze.
