Greatest Common Factor (GCF) : The greatest number that divides into each number in a set.
Example: Find the GCF of 12 and 18.
Method 1: List the factors of each number and chose the largest common factor.
Method 2: Prime Factorization (Product of Primes)
Highlight the factors that appear in each prime factorization. then multiply the common factors. The GCF is the product of the Common Factors. 2
