This Week in the Jungle
Spelling: A new spelling packet will be given and the
test will be on Tuesday, March 21
Reading: "Snowflake Bentley"
Voc: biography, intricate, inspire, technique, annual,
grandeur, evaporate
Skills: Theme, cause and effect, inferencing,
compare/contrast.
There will be a vocabulary skills test on Thursday, March
23.
English Review all parts of speech. This week we will be
completing our noun review and beginning our verb
review.
The students are creating an interactive notebook that
will review all parts of speech we have learned about this
year: nouns, verbs, adjective, adverbs, pronouns, and
prepositional phrases.
Writing- Daily Introductory Paragraph Practice
We will also write one multi paragraph essay and follow
the steps of the writing process
Monday- Cold Comprehension
Tuesday-Spelling Test
Wednesday-Fluency "Animal Adaptations"
Thursday- Review Parts of speech: Nouns and Verbs
Friday- DOL test
Math: We are continuing a Unit on Fractions. This
week we are decomposing and composing mixed
numbers. Test on Friday
Science: Test on Rocks is Tomorrow. Wednesday we
will start a new Chapter: Planet Earth and Its Moon
