Describe the causes, symptoms and treatments of diabetes. Causes: genetics, environmental and autoimmune Type 1 – factors Type 2 – unhealthy diet leading to obesity, physical inactivity and genetics. Symptoms Urine rich in glucose, produces excessive volumes of urine and is persistently thirsty. Treatments Type 1 – Daily insulin injections and a careful diet Exercise, weight loss, diet control and Type 2 additional insulin in some cases.
