FUNDAMENTAL SECURITY TASKS

It provides an indispensable foundation for a stable security
environment in Europe based οn the growth of democratic
institutions and commitment to the peaceful resolution of disputes. It
seeks to create an environment in which no country would be able to
intimidate or coerce any European nation or to impose hegemony
through the threat or use of force.
Ιn accordance with Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty, it serves as
a transatlantic forum for Allied consultations on any issues affecting
the vital interests of its members, including developments which
might pose risks to their security. It facilitates co-ordination of their
efforts in fields of common concern.
It provides deterrence and defence against any form of aggression
against the territory of any ΝΑΤΟ member state.
It preserves a strategic balance within Europe.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THE
COURSE
‘The school combined
English language
practice with computer
skills both absolutely
necessary for the
modern army. It was
also flexible enough in
order not to prevent us
from keeping up with
our duties’
WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT THE
COURSE
‘The course saved the army
money, time and space. It
brought together officers
from all over the country
even if that was in a virtual
class. I really enjoyed the
real time lessons and I wish
they were more. We
covered a lot of material in
such a short time…I feel I
really learned a lot!’
'It is not the strongest of the species
that survive, nor the most intelligent,
but the ones most responsive to change'
