What is DNA?
•
DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid,
is all the genetic information
inside humans and almost all
other organisms.
• The information in DNA is stored
as a code made up of four
chemical bases: adenine (A),
guanine (G), cytosine (C), and
thymine (T).
Grading Criteria...
1. To pass you need to make a model of DNA
highlighting regions representing genes and
chromosomes.
2. To obtain a merit you need to use pictures of your DNA
model in a flow diagram showing the progression from
a cell to a gene writing descriptions.
3. A distinction will be achieved if you produce a poster
writing a summary about how genes can be shuffled
during sexual reproduction.
