H259 ‫אחד‬
'echâ d ekh-awd'
A numeral from H258; properly united, that is,
one; or (as an ordinal) first: - a, alike,
Two words in Hebrew for 'one.'
Echad : as in
Gen 2:24 For this cause a man shall leave
his father and mother, and cleave to his wife,
and they shall become one (echad) flesh.
Yachid : as in
Gen 22:2 And He said, “Take your son, now,
your only (yachid) son Yitsḥaq, whom you love,
and go to the land of Moriyah, and offer him there
as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which
I command you.”
In the Shema, God is echad (united 'one'),
NOT yachid (singular 'one').

:
Greek Mythology and the Godhead
Gods are at war.
Greater and lesser gods.
Some gods undoing what others do.
Some with good and other with malevolent
intent.
Gods are capricious
Does Christendom portray God and Jesus in
this light?
-OT God is Judgmental/angry v Jesus is love.
- OT God is about Israel v. Jesus about the rest
of us.
-OT God is Law v Jesus overturns Law.
In Hebraic thought, God is echad!!
Because of covenant, He does not and
CANNOT change.
Any Messenger MUST exactly agree with Him.
God and Jesus (Yehovah and Yeshua) are
ECHAD (united 'one') and CANNOT operate
contrary to the other.
Just how united?
Let's see...
Who is the Redeemer?
Job 19:25-27a
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that
he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
And though after my skin worms destroy this
body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I
shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall
behold, and not another;
According to J ob (and Tanakh belief)
-The redeemer lives
-The redeemer will stand on the earth
-He will do so AFTER his skin is destroyed
YET in flesh... (resurrection)
-Job/speaker will 'SEE' God (Elohim)
So, who is the Redeemer? Yeshua?
Contemporary voices of Yeshua say, “YES!”
Luk 1:68ff Blessed be the Lord God of Israel;
for he hath visited and redeemed his
people, And hath raised up an horn of
salvation for us in the house of his servant
David;
Luk 24:21 But we trusted that it had been he
which should have redeemed Israel: and
beside all this, to day is the third day since
these things were done.
1Pe 1:18 knowing that you were redeemed
from your futile way of life inherited from your
fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or
gold, but with the precious blood of
Messiah, as of a lamb unblemished and
spotless,
Rev 5:9 And they sang a renewed song, saying,
“You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open
its seals, because You were slain, and have
redeemed us to Elohim by Your blood out
of every tribe and tongue and people and
nation,
Yeshua is the Redeemer, right?
Let's see what the Tanakh says.
Psa 78:35 And they remembered that
Elohim was their rock, And the Most
High Ěl their redeemer.
Isa 48:17 Thus said ‫יהוה‬, your
Redeemer, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl,
“I am ‫ יהוה‬your Elohim, teaching you what
is best, leading you by the way you
should go.
Isa 60:16 “And you shall drink dry the
milk of the gentiles, and shall milk the
breast of sovereigns. And you shall know
that I, ‫יהוה‬, your Saviour and your
Redeemer, am the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ.
Isa 44:6 “Thus said ‫יהוה‬, Sovereign of
Yisra’ĕl, and his Redeemer, ‫ יהוה‬of hosts,
‘I am the First and I am the Last, besides
Me there is no Elohim.
Echad!! United ONE!
Yehovah – Yeshua
Redeemer!
(Therefore, Yeshua can't/didn't overturn
Yehovah's Commandments)
