Best remembered by comparing both sides and noting the differences.
Right has ten segments and left has eight due to fusion.
For memory sake , each side has been divided into three sections : Upper,
middle, and lower. Remember though, that the lingular lobe is part of the left
upper lobe.
Upper section:
Right Upper Lobe: 1. Anterior 2 .Apical, 3. Posterior
Left upper lobe : 1. Anterior 2 .Apical - Posterior
Middle section:
Right Middle Lobe has MEDIAL & lateral
Left LINGULAR Lobe has INFERIOR & Superior
Lower Section:
Right Lower Lobe:
1. Apical basal 2. Anterior basal 3. Medial basal 4. Lateral basal 5. Posterior
