EXTREME HEAT AND ARID CLIMATE
TROPICAL RAIN FOREST






7% OF THE LAND IS FOUND HERE
50% OF ALL ANIMAL SPECIES ARE FOUND
HERE
200-400 INCHES OF RAIN PER YEAR
LOCATED IN THE EQUATORIAL REGIONS OF
THE WORLD
MOST DIVERSE PLACE ON EARTH
PROVIDES US WITH WATER VAPOR AND
OXYGEN TO OUR ENVIRONMENT
MARINE BIOME




Marine region cover about three-fourth of the
Earth’s surface.
It includes oceans, coral reefs and
estuaries(where salt water and fresh water meet)
It is the largest biome.
The evaporation of the seawater provide
precipitation for the land.
FRESHWATER BIOME




A freshwater biome is a body of water that
contains little salt(less than 1%)
99% of all freshwater is either in the form of ice
or located in aquifers.
Freshwater biomes are subdivided into three
groups: lakes and ponds, stream and rivers and
wetland.
Freshwater biomes are very importan to our
survival because they supply people with more
than half of their drinking water.
