Research and Original Creative Work My research is concentrated primarily in the areas of empirical corporate finance, theoretical modeling of corporate events, and methodological issues in finance. More recently, I have been focusing on how political and macroeconomic uncertainty impact the corporate decision making. My work provides a unique theoretical and methodological perspective on various corporate issues. I try to incorporate advanced estimations techniques developed in other fields – such as economics, statistics, and engineering – into corporate finance problems in a fashion that yields unparalleled insights and predictions. Another distinguishing aspect of my research is that it incorporates and synthesizes both theoretical and empirical analyses to create more complete, more rigorous, and more economically meaningful studies.
