A prosperous organization as Microsoft is not just the leading company that has an effective and easy operating system to use interface for people on their computers, but it is an expert that has presented a high level of leadership within the industry. This report shows corporate background of Microsoft, states the leadership of Microsoft Corporation by analyzing and indentifying the leadership applied within Microsoft and the leadership role of Microsoft, Furthermore, the importance of effective leadership are provided at the end of this report. Corporate Background of Microsoft: Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational gigantic know as one of the most innovative companies in the world by licensing, developing and publishing software, Microsoft has been dominating the software industry for ages. The core principles that followed by Microsoft are candor and integrity, openness personal merit, constructive self-criticism, continual self-improvement and mutual respect (corporation, (2012)) Analysis of Leadership of Microsoft: Since its establishment, Microsoft has been getting successful in every short period, one reason of that is the leadership that is unique to Microsoft. Before any 3 Hessa AlHumidan new employee at Microsoft starts exercising his/her job, he/she should be informed about Microsoft ethics also leadership roles. For more instance, the skills of a new employee at this company will be building using strong roles which are developing the employee ethics and make him/her more responsible and let the new employee believes in his/her smartness and abilities. In addition, Microsoft treats its workers in a very high level which lead the workers feel special in their career paths along with Microsoft. It also seeks to make each employee a leader on his/herself first and then, a leader of team if he/she deals with groups. Moreover, the core part that Microsoft appeals in its unique leadership is how to share its employees' talents across the company and toward the whole world. Here is some of the leadership of Microsoft qualities: 4 Hessa AlHumidan Integrity is "the incorporation of outward actions and inner values." A person of integrity is the same on the outside and on the inside. Honest dealing and an absence of tantrums and harsh outbursts are all signs of integrity that what Microsoft looking forward to develop in its own employees so that they can be able to be great leaders. Dedication means "spending whatever time or energy is necessary to accomplish the task at hand." However, being a great leader does not mean forcing the other members of the team to do more work with the leader doing nothing; a team leader should do the work as hard as each member of the group does. Equality and fairness in working are what Microsoft treats its employees with. Openness means "being able to listen to new ideas" even if they do not conform to the usual way of thinking. Excellent leaders at Microsoft are able to suspend judgment while listening to other thoughts as well as accept new way of doing programming that someone else thought of. Openness has built mutual respect and trust between Microsoft leaders and followers, and it also had kept any team in Microsoft well supplied with new ideas that can further its vision. Creativity is "the ability to think differently, to get outside the box that constrains solutions." Creativity gives leaders at Microsoft the capacity to do things such writing a program in a different way which others have not done the same of it before. This is one of Microsoft strong qualities that has made the company successful. Microsoft includes a lot of creative leaders which they have been taught by the great expert leader which is Microsoft Corporation itself. Importance of Effective Leadership at Microsoft: The effective leadership has its substance at Microsoft so, effective leadership is 5 Hessa AlHumidan one of Microsoft's most valuable assets. One of the hallmarks of any leader is dedication to continual self-improvement and perfection. Leadership is a skill that Microsoft seeks to teach its employee to be unique having and dealing with it inside and outside its branches.
