ACCESSING THE PROMISES OF GOD
IN 2017
PRAYER & FASTING JOURNAL

Greetings everyone in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
I would like to thank each of you for participating in The Church of The
Living God’s Holy Consecration Week! This is a great opportunity to develop a
heart, mind, and a focus on GOD. This week is important to us because during
this time we are committed and focused on drawing closer to GOD. We give up
some of the things that we are accustomed to, and replace them with more
prayer, meditation, and reflection as we --study the word of GOD. We do this,
not so GOD will do things for us, but instead, to draw closer to him, and
experience his perfect will for our lives. Ultimately our desire is to have a heart
like Jesus; to love GOD, and to love others.
During this time of consecration we believe GOD will reveal to us, areas of
our lives that do not line up with his perfect will for us. He will then give us an
opportunity to correct those things and follow after him with a heart, body and
soul that is free from sin. We should begin each day by giving thanks to GOD.
In addition, we should also repent and ask for forgiveness for any and all sin that
exist in us.
Finally, this time of Holy Consecration will be a time of deliverance and
healing for the people of GOD. The closer we get to GOD the more we become
like him. Our faith will increase as we become stronger and wiser in him. We
then move into the position of power and authority that he has given us, even
from the beginning of time, which allows us to access the promises he has made
us. I pray that each of you will have a Life Changing Experience as you desire
to learn the heart of GOD and his perfect will for you!

DAY 1
ACCESSING THE PROMISES OF GOD REQUIRES A
REPENTANT HEART.
When we are able to recognize the mistakes and failures that
we encounter in this life, we are more reliant on GOD and his plan
and purpose for our lives. It is impossible to allow the Spirit of the
Living GOD to direct you toward the promises of God when you have
unrepentant sin in your heart.
Scripture Text: 2 Corinthians 7:10 (NKLT) “For godly sorrow
produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted,
but the sorrow of the world produces death.”
Growing In GOD…..Knowing how important repentance is to the born
again believer is a critical part of our faith walk with GOD. The
greatest promise that he has given us is that of Salvation. This
allows us to reconnect with him, and spend eternity in his presence.

Day 2
IN ORDER TO ACCESS THE PROMISES OF GOD, WE MUST
COMMIT OUR WHOLE HEART TO HIM.
After we have repented, then we must make a commitment
from the heart, to change the way we live our lives. We cannot
continue to live the way the world does, and expect the promises of
GOD to apply to our lives. If we want better, we must commit to do
better……it must be from the heart!
Scripture Text: Matthew 6:33(NKJV) “But seek first the kingdom
of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be
added to you.”
Growing In GOD…….When we are willing to follow the example, or
the blueprint that Jesus Christ gave us, we not only get to go to
Heaven, we also get to enjoy the very best that GOD has for us while
living here on earth. Allowing God’s will to be done in your life sets
you up for the promises he has made available to you.

Day 3
SPENDING TIME IN THE WORD OF GOD WILL HELP YOU
UNDERSTAND AND ACCESS HIS PROMISES.
How can you access what you do not know is available to you?
In order to access the promises of GOD, you must know what they
are. This means the only way to really know what they are is to read
them for yourself. The preacher and teacher can tell you about them,
but that is nothing like you researching and discovering them for
yourself.

SCRIPTURE TEXT :HEBREWS4:12 (NKJV) “For the word of God
is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and
marrow; and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart.”
Growing In God…..when spending quality time in the word of God
you will learn that it a powerful tool that will help shape your life, and
lead you down the path that God has for you. It will not be easy, but
if you commit to increase your time in the word, you will not only know
what the promises of GOD are, but how to access them for yourself.

Day 4
WE MUST SPEAK THE PROMISES OF GOD OVER OUR LIVES
AND THE LIVES OF OTHERS.
When we really and truly believe in something, we are not afraid to
talk about it, and we will make sure everyone knows how we feel.
The same thing needs to occur when accessing the promises of
GOD. We cannot be ashamed nor afraid to call out and claim the
promises that God says are ours!
Scripture Text: John 8:32 NKJV “AND YOU SHALL KNOW THE
TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE”
Growing in God…….This week of Holy Consecration is a good start
to growing your faith in the truth of the promises of GOD. During this
time we should be able to identify some of the issues that prevent us
from truly accessing the promises of God. We should also be able to
begin speaking life and hope into the lives of others.

Day 5
THROUGH FAITH AND OBEDIENCE WE UNLOCK THE
PROMISES OF GOD!
True faith in GOD requires action on your part. You cannot
have real faith and do nothing, or remain the same. Faith in GOD
causes us to step out and trust him no matter what the reality of the
world says. When we are obedient to the word of God, we show faith
in who he is by our willingness to follow his instructions and
guidelines for our life. At this point you are in the perfect position to
unlock the promises of God!
Scripture Text: MATTHEW 25:23 NKJV “HIS LORD SAID UNTO
HIM, WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT.
THOU HAST BEEN FAITHFUL OVER A FEW THINGS, I WILL
MAKE THEE RELER OVER MANY THINGS. ENTER THOU INTO
THE JOY OF THE LORD.”
Growing In God…..Concerning the things of God; when we get into
position where we are not looking at the way things are now, but we
are focused on what GOD has said, that is when miracles happen.
We defy the odds and trust GOD all the way to the victory that he has
promised!

Day 6
THE PROMISES OF GOD ARE FOR ME!
There are people that do not believe that the promises of GOD apply
to them. They believe it was for a time before now, and we will often
hear them say, “that was then and this is now…..or that only applied
back in the bible days.” Truth is, the promises of GOD are just as
important to us now as they were to the born again believers of the
past.
Scripture Text: 2:39 For the promise is to you and to your
children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our
God will call.
Growing In God….when we understand that the promises of GOD are
truly for us, it allows us to approach situations and circumstances
differently. We have confidence in who GOD is and what he has said
about us; not what the world shows us. GOD desires for us to be
victorious, and when you commit to study his word and live for him all
you know how, then you will see it for yourself!

Day 7
WALKING INTO THE PROMISES OF GOD
By now you have begun to better understand the importance of
the promises of GOD in your life, but this is just the beginning. Now,
with this information you must seek out every single promise that
GOD has for you and begin to respond to it and apply it to life. Don’t
waste any more time, but claim what GOD has said is rightfully yours!
Here are a few of GOD’s promises to get you started…
Scripture Text:
Isaiah 54:17a - No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper,
and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shall
condemn………
3 John 1:2 – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest
prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
1 Corinthians 15:57 – But thanks be to God, who giveth us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ
Romans 10:9 – If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved.
Growing In God….This is just a few of the promises that are available
to every born again believer, but there is so much more. I pray that
you will begin, immediately, seeking out the others for yourself!

I want to personally thank each of you for participating in The
Church Of The Living God, Arlington’s Holy Consecration Week! I
hope you have found this time and the journal to be beneficial in your
desire to draw closer to GOD. This has been an amazing week, and I
believe you are much closer to accessing the promises of GOD in
2017!
As we purposefully seek to follow the perfect will of GOD, we
find ourselves in a humbled state of submission to him. This is where
the real change occurs, as we decrease in our own thoughts and
desires, and become more like him.
Why don’t you take a moment and bless GOD with me, because
as our faith grows stronger, so does the Miracles and Blessings from
our Heavenly Father. Thank you GOD!!!!!
