Use the Chemistry Home Page for the template for the lab. The Project needs to be completed on the
template-not hand written. Each person will use the Angel chemistry drop box to hand in the project.
Title: whatever you choose for the experiment.
Purpose: a statement giving the reason for doing the lab. Include a short discussion or an overview of
what and how the experiment is being investigated in the lab.
Hypothesis: Everyone uses the same hypothesis of this lab. Cheer is the best laundry detergent to remove
Kool-Aid stains from white cloth.
Be complete.
Procedure: a step-by-step process of your lab procedure.
List variables and
changes as you test. Adding a table that shows the variables and changes that are being made is helpful.
Data, calculations and results: any measurements or observations that are pertinent to the outcome of the
investigation. You can create your own scale to determine your success at removing the stain. Include the
best and worst sale values. Do not include the home remedy in this table. It cannot be used to evaluate
your hypothesis.
Home method: explain your attempt to clean the cloth and the result of your attempt.
Conclusion: a summary of your results that prove or disprove your lab hypothesis.
Error analysis: any reason(s) why your lab results and conclusion may be invalid.
