Speed Cube Game
RULES: Play starts with person #1 in your group. Person #1 rolls the speed dice. The problem that is rolled is the first
problem to be solved. Person #1 acts as coach and “Thinks Aloud” as he/she solves the problem. Other members of the
group listen, think, and solve the problem along with the coach while also recording the steps and solution on the
worksheet. (As anyone who watches sport knows, sometimes coaches make mistakes. All members of the group should
actively listen to the coach to catch errors.) After the first problem is solved, play continues to person #2 in your group.
Person number #2 rolls the dice. If the problem that comes up has not been solved, person #2 acts as coach to solve the
problem. If the problem has already been solved, person #2 passes the dice to the next player to roll the dice. Play
continues until all of the speed problems have been solved.
