Ms. Reyes’ Geometry Scrapbook Project
To bring together the first semester of Geometry, you will be making a Geometry scrapbook based around your
interest. This scrapbook will consist of geometry vocabulary terms you have been working with over the past
quarter with a theme you have picked. This project is meant to give you an opportunity to explore the important
role these terms play in the real world. Your scrapbook will have a title page, table of contents, and 15
geometric terms.
Your scrapbook will include the following:

Seven pages of terms:
 Page 1 – Parallel Lines
o What problems would there be in your picture if the lines were not parallel?
 Page 2 – Two Congruent Segmentsq
o What problems would there be in your picture if the objects were not congruent?
 Page 3 – Vertical Angles
o Why do you think the person that created the vertical angles in your picture did so?
 Page 4 - Perpendicular Lines
o Consequence if the lines were not perpendicular.
 Page 5 – Intersecting Lines
o Why is it important that these lines intersect?
 Page 6 – Supplementary Angles
o State what problems there would be if these angles were not supplementary.
 Page 7 –Different proportions
o Why are your objects of different proportions and why is this important?
Thirteen pages of definitions:

Look at the scoring rubric on the back of this page. This project is due the last
class before Winter Break on 12/__/12. There are absolutely no exceptions.
Turn it in early so you are not penalized. This project is worth 75 points (3 prject
grades! It’s your grade, not mine). Everyday that it is late will be penalized 10 points a
day. Be professional, creative, organized, and have lots of fun.
