

13.2 Americans over age 12 reported LSD use in 1993, 8.1 million in 1985.
Discovered in a lab and its effects were discovered by accident by a Swiss
scientist. Everyone reacts differently to it, depending on their personality,
temperament, the environment in which they take it, their mood before
taking it, and their mental health while taking it. Not known to cause brain
damage. Thought to be able to be used for mind control and chemical
warfare by the CIA, which resulted in a government project known as
MKULTRA. The project involved the use of LSD on both voluntary and
involuntary subjects in and outside the military, resulting in several
accidental deaths and millions of dollars spent on the project. MKULTRA
was cancelled due to the CIA deeming LSD too unpredictable.
