Bid-Spec
1.0 Description
High resolution, 20-inch black & white video monitor with over 900 TV lines of
resolution.
2.0 Performance Specifications
The monitor shall have a 51 cm (20-inch) diagonal, 114 degree deflection, flat square type
CRT picture tube with over 900 TV lines of resolution.
The monitor must accept CCIR and EIA signals, and must feature an auto-detect function
to identify the input signal and switch modes automatically.
The monitor must incorporate a universal power supply, allowing it to be compatible with
a voltage range of 90 - 264 VAC (50/60 Hz). The power supply must be regulated to
maintain excellent performance during fluctuations in line voltage. Power consumption
must not exceed 40 watts.
The monitor must be shipped with both North American NEMA 5-15P and Continental
European CEE 7/7 power cords.
The monitor must have two looping composite video inputs and one looping audio input.
The video inputs must have auto termination circuitry.
The monitor shall have a built-in audio speaker with an output of 1 watt.
The monitor must contain a latching power switch which remains in the set position, either
on or off, regardless of incoming power status to ensure the unit does not have to be
physically turned back on after a power loss.
Controls for v-size, h-size, v-hold, h-hold, bright, contrast, sharpness, volume,
underscan/overscan, video A/B selector, and power shall be conveniently located on the
front panel.
The monitor shall have a vertical line control, to adjust the vertical linearity of the picture.
Controls for v-line and DC restoration on/off shall be located on the rear panel.
The monitor must have a heavy duty metal cabinet to protect the CRT and circuitry. An
optional rack mount kit must be available.
The monitor must be able to operate to full specifications within the normal temperature
range of 0 to 40 C (32 to 104 F).
The monitor shall be an American Dynamics AD920A Series or equivalent.
