Project - The Cell Manual Create a manual that tells the "consumer" what is inside of each cell type (plant vs. animal) and what each organelle does within the cell. The project must be in a book format and the more creative you are the better grade you will receive. Page 1 - Title Page (Include a title, illustration, and the author's name) Page 2 - Index (List each pages title and page #) Page 3- Plant Cell (Illustration of the plant cell, label all parts, list the parts that the animal cell does not have, and title the page) Page 4 - Animal Cell (Illustration of the animal cell, label all parts, list the parts that the plant cell does not have, and title the page) Page 5-? - Each page includes one organelle (Illustration/Picture, title, location in the cell, description of the function that the organelle performs for the cell - in your own words, and an analogy of something that performs a similar function). Example analogy: The brain is like the nucleus in that it controls the activities of your body just like the nucleus directs the activities of the cell. Illustrations/pictures may include magazine articles, internet, and drawings. Last Page – citation MLA style. If you take pictures from someone you must document Remember: The more creative you are with the analogies the more points you will receive (5 analogies must be creative…don't tell others your analogy). The more creative and neat your manual is the higher grade you will score. Manuals are made to be user friendly.
