Day 1(1/8)- Gravity and Acceleration
g = 32 ft/s^2 = 9.8 m/s^2
What is the meaning of 32ft/s/s?
speed is how fast
velocity is speed + direction
acceleration is how v changes every second
Law of Odd Numbers - distances fallen during each second follows the odd numbers. total
distance fallen follows the square of time.
Law of Falling Bodies
(a)all objects (heavy and light) fall at the same rate (acceleration is constant) in a vacuum.
(b)distance fallen is proportional to the square of time
(c)v is proportional to time
(d)a is constant
