Class Objectives:
 Knowledge, definition and evolution of the Earth, especially of land cover as mining working
area;
 Knowledge of natural phenomena with destructive effects on human society;
 Characterization of land cover structural architecture;
Lectures content:
Content
Definition and scope of the General Geology
Physiographic geology (shape and size of the Earth, cosmic
movements of the Earth, internal structure and physical and
chemical properties of the Earth)
Internal Geodynamics. Structure and dynamics of the lithosphere.
Magmatic phenomena. Volcanism. Metamorphic phenomena.
Seismic phenomena.
External Geodynamics. Geological action of the atmosphere, the
hydrosphere, the biosphere. Ablation of alteration products.

Practical class content:
Content
Deciphering the Globe’s structure, diagram of each terrestrial
geosphere, lithosphere plates, crust types, geological map of
Romania, determining the position of the layers of geological
compass.
Watching documentaries and animations depicting the internal
structure of the Earth and phenomena / movements that govern
them.
Laboratory test. Redo laboratory test

Grading Policy:
The student pass the class if obtain more than 50 points from 100 points.
Classroom Rules of Conduct:
