Report to the Cabinet Member for Children and Schools
Report submitted by: Executive Director for Children and Young People
23 November 2009
Title of Report: Fulwood Academy – Submission of Outline Business Case
(OBC) to the Department for Children, Schools and Families
Brief Description: The Cabinet Member for Children and Schools considered
and noted the information contained in this report together with the Fulwood
Academy draft OBC Executive Summary at Appendix 'A', and;
(a) authorised the Head of Capital Development and Asset Management to submit
the OBC to the DCSF/PfS to secure the current indicative potential available
funding together with an allowance for active ICT as detailed in the report;
(b) noted that the cost of any necessary off-site highway works (which may be
required to discharge any condition forming part of a planning approval) is
specifically excluded from funding allocated by the DCSF/PfS and this is to be
funded by the Local Authority;
(c) agreed in principle to finance the cost of related off-site highway works to be
funded from the DCYP Single Capital Pot;
The full report is not available for publication as it contains Exempt information as
defined in Paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act
1972. Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular
person (including the authority holding that information). It is considered that in all
the circumstances of the case the public interest in maintaining the exemption
outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information.
