General description
This versatile cooking pot can be used as a saucepan, teapot, steamer or colander.
It has a pour spout and comes with a steamer basket, a lockable glass lid and silicone
handles. It is stainless steel with an encapsulated base making it suitable for all types
of hob, including induction.
Orientation
The cooking pot comes in three parts: a metal outer with a rubber coated handle; a
separate metal steamer basket which sits inside the outer pan, and a glass lid.
Using the product
This cooking pot is made of dishwasher-safe stainless steel and the handles are
covered in red silicone to protect your hands from the heat.
The pot comes with a glass lid and a removable stainless steel basket which is ideal
for preparing foods such as pasta and vegetables, and can also be used as a steamer
basket for your vegetables.
The cleverly designed locking lid is very useful. When in use, place the lid on the pot.
On the edge of the lid below the glass is a cut-out locating channel; this aligns with a
protruding dot on the inside of the pot. Align these and twist to lock into place. To
remove, simply untwist and remove.
To strain, in the edge of the lid there are 2 sets of holes at opposing sides; you can use
the larger size as a strainer when cooking pasta or rice, while the smaller size will filter

tea leaves for brewing tea. Insert the lid so the appropriate holes are aligned with the
pouring spout and then pour out excess liquid as required.
Suggested uses
Please note: These are suggestions only and you should use your own judgement,
taking into account the quantities you are cooking and the heat source you are using
(suitable for all types of hob, including induction).
Please ensure that you read the use and care instructions included with your pot. The
guidelines below are suggestions only.
New Potatoes
Can hold one pack of new potatoes (approximately 1 kg). Add the potatoes to the
basket and insert into the pot. Fill with enough water to cover the potatoes and add salt
according to your taste. Bring the water to the boil, turn down the heat and cook for
approximately 10 minutes. New potatoes can also be steamed, by adding enough
water to cover the bottom of the basket insert.
Steaming vegetables
Best used for steaming green vegetables. Place the basket insert into the pot then add
water so it just covers the bottom of the basket. Heat the water to boiling and add the
vegetables of your choice. Replace the lid and steam for three to six minutes,
depending on the amount and type of vegetables you have used.
Asparagus
The steamer basket can hold up to 40 spears of asparagus. Fill the pot as for steaming
vegetables and then add the spears of asparagus. The tip of the spear should face
upwards. Steam for five to six minutes, depending on the thickness of the stalks, or
until they feel tender when tested with a skewer.
Pasta
Bring water to the boil in the pot and add the required amount of pasta. Add large
pasta into the basket insert, use without for pasta such as spaghetti and linguine. Cook
according to the pack instructions.
Maintenance
 Before using for the first time, wash the pan, basket and lid with hot soapy water
and rinse clean.
 To save energy while cooking, and to prevent from tarnishing the outside, match the
diameter of the hot plate to the pan. For gas stoves, keep the flame of a gas stove
from licking the side of the pan.
 Always ensure that the lid is correctly fitted while cooking. Turn the lid so the
strainer holes are not aligned with the pouring spout.
 Protect your cookware from corrosion: Always completely dissolve salt in hot water
and do not store salty food in the pot.

Safety Warnings
 Never leave an empty pan on a hot stove.
 When steaming with the basket insert always ensure you have a minimum of one
cup of water in the pan.
 Use caution when touching the handles as they may get hot during long cooking
times and on gas stoves. Use oven gloves or similar to prevent burns.
 Not for use in the oven or under the grill.
