Gods Love and Compassion 2 John 1:6 And this is love that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. KJV 2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. NIV The Bible is the manual for God’s love, when you follow the instructions that are in it, you will be walking in love. When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you also received His agape love in you. Remember that God is love, so you cannot make Jesus the Lord of your life without the love included. It is the same as faith, it is in you but it cannot manifest until you act on it. The way to act on it is to read God’s word on love, meditate on it, confess it, call those things that be not as though they were. You will start seeing it manifest, even if it is only a little at first. It takes practice. The more you meditate, the more it is stirred up on the inside of you. 1 An example: when you plant a seed of corn, you cannot just plant it and leave it. You have to prepare the soil ahead of time. You cultivate the soil; you put other nutrients, such as fertilizer in the soil. If there are any weeds in the soil, you need to get rid of all the weeds. Now that you have done all that, it is time to plant. Once you get the seed in the ground you have to put the soil on top of the seed loosely, so it can get air. The next step is to keep checking on it and watering it. If it does not get the water it needs, it could wilt and die. Then you keep checking for weeds and make sure you pull them up before the roots get to big and starts affecting the plant or choking the growth or the root made cause the plant not to receive the right nutrients and die. In the spiritual realm of planting and receiving a harvest, the nutrients that you need are in the knowledge of God’s Word. When you speak the Word with your mouth it sets the growing process in motion. Then you have to continue watering and confessing the Word as if it has already happened, so your spirit will receive the Word, because once your spirit has it, it has to manifest. You Get the RHEMA. Paul says this to the church of Philipi. Phil 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; KJV The love of God is released in your life by acting on the knowledge of God’s Word. Without the knowledge followed by the action, the love will not develop, and acting on the carnal love, you will remain loving 2 conditional. Even if you are a new creature in Christ, you have to do it by faith. 1 John 2:5 But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: 1 John 2:6 Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. The more you act on God’s Word; the love of God will be perfected in you. That is when love will start to flow from you to others. There is nothing more important than learning to love (agape). The more that God’s love is perfected in you, the more the perfect will of God is accomplished, and that is because every other spiritual force derives from love. Eph 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, KJV Eph 3:17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, NIV AGAPE LOVE IS: 3 1 Cor 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 1 Cor 13:5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Cor 13:6 -8 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. This make look like it is tough, but do not look at it through the natural eye. You must look through your spiritual eyes and that God recreated your spirit in the image of love. The Father has sent His spirit to teach you to love as He loves. You can live the love life. Become love conscious by confessing and acting on God’s Word concerning love this love. As you meditate on the scriptures see yourself living the love life. You are the one that has to make the decision to perfect the love of God in your life, so make the decision in faith. 4 There will be times when your flesh does not want to walk in the God’s kind of love. You would probably rather do anything than to let love rule and to obey what the Word says about love. It would be much easier to scream, shout or anything but act upon love. Love is opposed to the senses, because the senses have been trained to put themselves and their desires first. They have been trained to selfishly seek their own way. But love, the Word says does not seek it’s own way. To walk in love you must demand that your flesh be subject to the Word. You must make a decision as to whether you want to continue in the love Of God and continually confess that you are the love of God. Confess 1 Cor: 4-8. If you confess these things, then if someone says something unkind to you , love will say: That is okay. I am not touchy, fretful or resentful. I take no account of that, and you go free. Learn to believe in love. It is the most powerful force in the universe. Walk in love by faith in the Word. Walking in love is walking in the Spirit. It is walking as Jesus walked. Love never fails, nothing works without it, and there can be no failure in it. When you live by love, you cannot fail. 5 It definitely takes faith to walk in love, because the natural man and his world are ruled by selfishness. He believes that if you do not look out for number one, who will. Selfishness shuts the door to the love of God, and He winds up on his own. Practicing the agape love puts the Father in action on your behalf. As long as you walk in love you cannot be hurt or fail, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper. No one will be able to hurt your feelings, because you are not ruled by feelings, but by God’s love. You are loving as He loves. This is new: 11-12-04 Love (the Adhesive) Binds us Together We all clearly understand that Agape Love is the foundation of the Kingdom of God, which is also called the Kingdom of love, because God is love. Today I would like to put more Love on our plate. Love is the only thing that will not fade away. Agape (love) is eternal, and is everlasting. God (love) was in the beginning and God (love) is the ending. Any foundation that is formed without love will fall. Remember the more excellent way is walking in God’s love Agape, the God kind of love is not like the human love, which is conditional. Agape love will do whatever it takes to set someone free. When Jesus cast out demons, to some that may not have looked like love, but look at what happened, they were set free. Praise God! Have you cast out any demons lately? Jesus would always meet the needs of all. Love is the Adhesive that binds the Body of Christ together. 1 John 3:18 “ My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 4:7 Amplified 6 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves his fellowman is begotten (born) of God and is coming (progressively) to know and understand God (to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him. 1 John 4:7 KJV “ Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.” Loving one another = you come to know and understand God and you have a better and clearer knowledge of Him 1 John 4:8 Amplified “He who does not love has not become acquainted with God (does not and never did know Him for God is love” 1 John 4:8 KJV “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” Not walking in agape (love) = you have not become acquainted with God and you never knew Him. 1 John 4:11 Amplified Beloved, if God loved us so much we also ought to love one another 1 John 4:11 KJV “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” God loving us = us loving one another 1 John 4: 12 Amplified No man has at anytime (yet) seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which 7 is essentially His) is brought to completion (to it’s full maturity, runs it’s full course, it is perfected in us) 1 John 4:12 KJV “No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.” Loving one another = God abiding in us, and love is brought to completion. It is perfected in us. 1 John 4:16 Amplified And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on the love of God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God and God dwells and continues in him. 1 John 4:16 KJV “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him” Dwelling and continuing in love and God = God dwelling and continuing in you. 1 John 4:18 Amplified There is no fear in love (dread does not exist), but fullgrown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and (so) he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love (is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection. 1 John 4:18 KJ “ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” Love = No fear, but full grown, complete, perfect love 1 John 4:20-21 Amplified “If anyone says I love God, and hates (detests, abominates) his brother (in Christ), he is a liar; for he who does not love his 8 brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, Whom he has not see. And this command (charge, order, injunction) we have from Him; that he who loves God shall love his brother (believer) also.” 1 John 4:20 KJV “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?“1 1 John 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” Loving God = loving our brother also 1 John 5: 3-4 Amplified “For the (true) love of God is this: that we do His commands (keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teachings). And these orders of His are not irksome (burdensome, oppressive, or grievous). For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and that is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith” 1 John 5:3 KJV “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” “1 John 5:4 “ For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” Being born of God (love) = overcoming and being victorious I am going to sum it up with Ephesians 4:15-16 Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth (in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly). Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, (even) Christ (the Messiah, the anointed one. For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part (with power adapted to its need) is working properly (in all its functions), grows to full maturity, building itself up in love. 9 10
