2) Compare/Contrast: How is the Neolithic Period distinct from that of the Paleolithic period? Your answer
should include a discussion of (1) the collection of foodstuffs, (2) nomadism vs. settling, and (3) impact on
the environment.
3) Who was Hammurabi, what was his Legal Code, and what does his legal code tell us about the social
structure in ancient Mesopotamian societies?
4) Agree/Disagree: Males had greater status than females in Neolithic societies. Elaborate.
5) Agree/Disagree: The Nile River functioned for the Egyptians much like the Tigris and Euphrates functioned
for the Mesopotamians. Elaborate

8) Agree/Disagree: Egyptian religion was more similar than different than that of Mesopotamian religion.
