Themes of Geography 5 Themes Part I: Complete the following tasks using your textbook or one of the atlases in the class. 1. Location: Absolute & Relative A. Find the absolute location of the following places: West Point, Va; London, England; Rome, Italy; Athens, Greece; Mecca, Saudi Arabia; Baghdad, Iraq; Istanbul, Turkey; Paris, France B. Describe the following places in terms of relative location in a minimum of 3 ways: your home, a place you would like to visit outside the United States, a place you would like to visit outside the state of Virginia but inside the United States. Ex. Negril, Jamaica: South of Florida, Island in the Caribbean, Beach located on western coast of the island 2. Place: A. Describe our school & 2 cities in the world in terms of place. Identify 3 regions in which you live. Part II: Divide the back of your paper up into 5 sections. Label each section 1 of the themes of geography.
