Look at the following words:

1. Would the word “slow” be used as the same part of

SPELLING GENERALIZATION
Suffixes come at the end of a word and will sometimes tell
you what part of speech a word is. For example, many
adverbs end in the suffix “ly.” Knowing the meaning of a
suffix can also help you figure out the meaning of a word.
For example, the suffix “less” means “without,” as in
fearless and homeless.
