Jigsaw Review: Cell Diversity
Name:____________
Date:_______
Period:_____
Introduction: Students will be broken into groups that will create an interactive review on Cell
Diversity, using either PPT, SMARTBoard software, prezi.com, Weebly.com, or other internet
resources, on the different types of cells. They will then present this information to their
classmates. The students who will be interacting with the presentations will answer several
essential questions after the presentations.
Standard(s):
•1c. Students know how prokaryotic cells, eukaryotic cells (including those from plants and
animals), and viruses differ in complexity and general structure.
Student objective(s):
SWBAT…
•differentiate prokaryotic cells, eukaryotic cells, and viruses from each other by examining
structure,complexity, and size.
•compare and contrast plant and animal cells.

Procedure:
•Assign requirements from the list below for each group member to work on.
•Research the required information and display it.
•Complete all the requirements below for your group, and make sure all of the required
information below is listed.
•Email all of the materials to one group member and create one document.
•Email the presentation to Mr. Carr at [email protected]. Put the following information in the
subject of your email: Name Period Jigsaw Review
**Note the only thing that should be copied and pasted on your PPT is the pictures.
Requirements: Assign and check off each of the requirements.
