Nov 1998 LTC1531 Isolated Comparator

... The comparator inputs have a railto-rail input range. They sample once at the end of the 100µ s VREG pulse. Their summing nature allows midVREG referencing, for example, by connecting V3 to VREG and V4 to ISOGND, which sums together to provide 1.25V for the negative comparator input. In the isolated ...

MAX1708 High-Frequency, High-Power, Low-Noise, Step-Up DC-DC Converter General Description

... The MAX1708 sets a new standard of space savings for high-power, step-up DC-DC conversion. It delivers up to 10W at a fixed (3.3V or 5V) or adjustable (2.5V to 5.5V) output, using an on-chip power MOSFET from a 0.7V to 5V supply. Fixed-frequency PWM operation ensures that the switching noise spectru ...

History of electric power transmission

The history of the technology of moving electricity far from where it was generated dates from the late 19th century. This includes movement of electricity in bulk (formally referred to as ""transmission""), and the delivery of electricity (""distribution"") to individual customers. The distinction between the two terms did not exist in early years and were used interchangeably.
