As opposed to previous discussions of this question, we describe in a concrete way the sequence of measurements necessary to teleport the state. We also estimate the efficiency of dete ...

(the headlines say).” This is because, if any of these cads were to take a moment to think about it, they would recognize that there is more to quantum mechanics than just three isolated terms (states, evolution, and measurement)—there’s the fullblown theory that glu ...

Quantum and Ecosystem Entropies

Here I attempt to apply these ideas to ecosystems. The first step in constructing an ecosystems phase space is to specify the cell ...

Quantum Superpositions and the Representation of Physical Reality

... Within philosophy of physics, realism has been characterized as a stance which assumes the existence of a reality independent of the actions of any human subject or conscious being. In short, it is claimed that realism is committed to the belief of an objective (subject independent) reality. However ...

Bohr–Einstein debates

The Bohr–Einstein debates were a series of public disputes about quantum mechanics between Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr. Their debates are remembered because of their importance to the philosophy of science. An account of the debates was written by Bohr in an article titled ""Discussions with Einsteinon Epistemological Problems in Atomic Physics"". Despite their differences of opinion regarding quantum mechanics, Bohr and Einstein had a mutual admiration that was to last the rest of their lives. The debates represent one of the highest points of scientific research in the first half of the twentieth century because it called attention to an element of quantum theory, quantum non-locality, which is absolutely central to our modern understanding of the physical world. The consensus view of professional physicists has been that Bohr proved victorious, and definitively established the fundamental probabilistic character of quantum measurement.
