Gene Section SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) -

... Two major SHBG transcripts are known, each originating from a different promoter. The variant 1, which has also been referred to as SHBG-L, encodes the longest protein (isoform 1), while the variant 2 uses an alternate in-frame splice site in the 3' coding region compared to variant 1. These two tra ...

Recombinant human RNA polymerase II CTD repeat

... The tandem heptapeptide repeats in the C-terminal domain (CTD) can be highly phosphorylated. The phosphorylation activates Pol II. Phosphorylation occurs mainly at residues 'Ser-2' and 'Ser-5' of the heptapeptide repeat and is mediated, at least, by CDK7 and CDK9. CDK7 phosphorylation of POLR2A asso ...

Therefore, it is postulated that CLV and CRN/SOL2 act closely to repress the WUS expression in the SAM. When carpel number is used as an indicator ...

NEDD9

Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally down-regulated protein 9 (NEDD-9) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NEDD9 gene. NEDD-9 is also known as enhancer of filamentation 1 (EF1), CRK-associated substrate-related protein (CAS-L), and Cas scaffolding protein family member 2 (CASS2). An important paralog of this gene is BCAR1.
