... The overall Rth(j-a) can vary depending on the board layout. To minimize the effective Rth(j-a), all pins must have a solid connection to larger Cu layer areas for example to the power and ground layer. In multi-layer PCB applications, the second layer is used to create a large heat spreader area di ...

new triacs: is the snubber circuit necessary?

... When driving an inductive load, triacs are designed with RC snubber. These commutation aid networks are badly optimized in most of applications. The subject of this paper is, first of all, to analyze the functions of snubber circuits for triacs and to propose calculation methods. But today snubber c ...

... The output signals of the PFD are fed to the charge pump. The output voltage of the charge pump controls the output frequency of the VCO, so with a change happens at the input of the CP the output voltage will change which will change the output frequency of the VCO [3]. In this case the sensitivit ...

As can be seen from Equation (4), Vpi is a strong function of the beam length. Since the beam length is set lithographically, circuit designers can directly tune ...

Power inverter

A power inverter, or inverter, is an electronic device or circuitry that changes direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC).The input voltage, output voltage and frequency, and overall power handling depend on the design of the specific device or circuitry. The inverter does not produce any power; the power is provided by the DC source.A power inverter can be entirely electronic or may be a combination of mechanical effects (such as a rotary apparatus) and electronic circuitry.Static inverters do not use moving parts in the conversion process.
