FPF1013 / FPF1014 IntelliMAX™ 1 V-Rated Advanced Load Management Products

... For best performance, all traces should be as short as possible. To be most effective, the input and output capacitors should be placed close to the device to minimize the effects that parasitic trace inductances may have on normal and short-circuit operation. Using wide traces or large copper plane ...

... Switching frequency for audio amplifiers and computer power supplies is about ten to hundreds of kHz. The ratio of the On time to the time period of the pulse is known as duty cycle. If the duty cycle is low, it implies low power. The power loss in the switching device is very low, due to almost ne ...

Fundamentals of On-Resistance in Load Switches
Fundamentals of On-Resistance in Load Switches

... Load Switches Overview A load switch is used to connect and disconnect power from a series load. This enables better power saving, power sequencing, and safer operation; however, the series load switch inherently adds some Onresistance to the power path. Figure 1 shows the schematic of a basic load ...

Switch

In electrical engineering, a switch is an electrical component that can break an electrical circuit, interrupting the current or diverting it from one conductor to another. The mechanism of a switch may be operated directly by a human operator to control a circuit (for example, a light switch or a keyboard button), may be operated by a moving object such as a door-operated switch, or may be operated by some sensing element for pressure, temperature or flow. A relay is a switch that is operated by electricity. Switches are made to handle a wide range of voltages and currents; very large switches may be used to isolate high-voltage circuits in electrical substations.
