... limiting implementation. The voltage drop across the internal high-side MOSFET is sensed and compared with the internally set current limit threshold. This voltage drop is sensed at about 30ns after the HS turns on. This voltage drop is proportional to the peak inductor current. When the peak induct ...

Using a VMI Optocoupler in Conjunction with High Voltage Relays

... When ISO1 switches off and ISO2 switches on, the capacitor will discharge through ISO2 with a current IIsoOn of about 100 mA, plus the current through R1. If the load capacitance is C1, then the discharge time will be somewhat less than ([VLV - VHV]*C1)/ IIsoOn , due to the additional discharge curr ...

Current source

A current source is an electronic circuit that delivers or absorbs an electric current which is independent of the voltage across it.A current source is the dual of a voltage source. The term constant-current 'sink' is sometimes used for sources fed from a negative voltage supply. Figure 1 shows the schematic symbol for an ideal current source, driving a resistor load. There are two types - an independent current source (or sink) delivers a constant current. A dependent current source delivers a current which is proportional to some other voltage or current in the circuit.
