Power LED`s - simplest light with constant
Power LED`s - simplest light with constant

... configuration of normal or high-power LED's with any type of power supply. As a simple project, i've built the driver circuit and connected it to a high-power LED and a power-brick, making a plug-in light. Power LED's are now around $3, so this is a very inexpensive project with many uses, and you c ...

When VFB exceeds VFBZR1 voltage, the up/down counter is initialised to 1, in order to allow the system to react rapidly to a sudden load increase. The up/down counter value is also intialised to 1 at the start-up, to ensure an efficient maximum lo ...

Buck converter

A buck converter is a voltage step down and current step up converter. The simplest way to reduce the voltage of a DC supply is to use a linear regulator (such as a 7805), but linear regulators waste energy as they operate by dissipating excess power as heat. Buck converters, on the other hand, can be remarkably efficient (95% or higher for integrated circuits), making them useful for tasks such as converting the main voltage in a computer (12V in a desktop, 12-24V in a laptop) down to the 0.8-1.8V needed by the processor.
