... 10) Assemble a non-inverting amplifier circuit as was done in the previous section. 11) From the power splitter on your project board, connect +vcc to +10 volts and -vcc to -10 volts. Note: since we are amplifying a DC voltage, we will not need more than a -2 to +10 volt power supply, however for si ...

Experiment FT2: Measurement of Inductance and Mutual Inductance

... Imagine a coil of wire, similar to the one shown in Figure 1, connected to an ac supply. It is found that whenever an effort is made to increase current through it, it is always opposed by the instantaneous production of counter e.m.f of self-induction. Energy required to overcome this opposition is ...

SYNCHRO RETRANSMISSION UNIT KW903-SP

... The “standard” and most common output is nominally 115v (50/60 Hz) reference, 90v line to line maximum voltage. Synchros are not critical on their voltage. The KW903 has several transformer taps to allow selecting reduced voltage, and by this means “non standard” voltages are obtained. E.g. for Kurs ...

Buck converter

A buck converter is a voltage step down and current step up converter. The simplest way to reduce the voltage of a DC supply is to use a linear regulator (such as a 7805), but linear regulators waste energy as they operate by dissipating excess power as heat. Buck converters, on the other hand, can be remarkably efficient (95% or higher for integrated circuits), making them useful for tasks such as converting the main voltage in a computer (12V in a desktop, 12-24V in a laptop) down to the 0.8-1.8V needed by the processor.
