... What this means is that the divisors of 72 are exactly the products of the divisors of 8 and the divisors of 9. It’s important to be careful here. Certainly if I take a divisor of 8 and a divisor of 9 and multiply them together, I’ll get a divisor of 72, but I’m saying more than that. I’m saying tha ...

... 3. div(x, y), which is 1 if x|y, and 0 otherwise, is primitive recursive. The predicate Φ(x, y, z) “x = yz” is primitive recursive, so that f (x, y) := µz ≤ xΦ(x, y, z) is primitive recursive. f (x, y) returns z ≤ x if yz = x, and x + 1 otherwise. Thus “f (x, y) ≤ x” is a primitive recursive predic ...

Mathematics of radio engineering

The mathematics of radio engineering is the mathematical description by complex analysis of the electromagnetic theory applied to radio. Waves have been studied since ancient times and many different techniques have developed of which the most useful idea is the superposition principle which apply to radio waves. The Huygen's principle, which says that each wavefront creates an infinite number of new wavefronts that can be added, is the base for this analysis.
