A Simple Geometric Proof of Morley`s Trisector Theorem
A Simple Geometric Proof of Morley`s Trisector Theorem

... BRIAN STONEBRIDGE Morley’s theorem is one of the most surprising and attractive twentieth century results in plane geometry. Its simplicity is part of its beauty, but could easily lead us to expect an equally simple proof. No known proof shows the desirable properties of being purely geometric, conc ...

... Hi everyone! Here is your first homework assignment. I’ll be adding questions to it over the next week or so, I’ll announce in class (and change the website announcement) when it’s final. Good luck! These 10 questions are all that will be part of homework # 1! It’s due date is February 9th. 1. Recal ...

3-manifold

In mathematics, a 3-manifold is a space that locally looks like Euclidean 3-dimensional space. Intuitively, a 3-manifold can be thought of as a possible shape of the universe. Just like a sphere looks like a plane to a small enough observer, all 3-manifolds look like our universe does to a small enough observer. This is made more precise in the definition below.
