... Gauss' Law describes the electrical flux through a closed area. The law uses the concept of flux which is defined for all vector fields. Imagine a body with a charge of Q which is surrounded by an orientated, closed area. Orientated just means that there is an external and internal side. The area ca ...

... Next, create a program (cs151sp15exam34) that creates an x row vector of values from -10 to 1.1 (incrementing by 0.1) and calculates the corresponding y row vector using the above function. Plot these values. Then, create (using the same increment) an x vector of values from 0.9 to 2.9 and correspon ...

... Faraday’s law of induction Example 1: A conducting circuit wound 200 times has a total resistance of 2.0 Ω. Each winding is a square of side 18 cm. A uniform magnetic field B is directed perpendicular to the plane of the circuit. If the field changes linearly from 0.00 to 0.50 T in 0.80 s, what is ...

... The same kind of boundary occur also in the time harmonic case (where we denote the fields by capital Latin letters). Finally, we specify the boundary conditions to the E- and H-modes derived above. We assume that the surface S is an infinite cylinder in x3 −direction with constant cross section. Fu ...

Computational electromagnetics

Computational electromagnetics, computational electrodynamics or electromagnetic modeling is the process of modeling the interaction of electromagnetic fields with physical objects and the environment. It typically involves using computationally efficient approximations to Maxwell's equations and is used to calculate antenna performance, electromagnetic compatibility, radar cross section and electromagnetic wave propagation when not in free space.A specific part of computational electromagnetics deals with electromagnetic radiation scattered and absorbed by small particles.
