TKN Measuring the node energy consumption in a USB based WSN testbed

... The selection of protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is frequently driven by the consideration of the network lifetime which, in turn, depends directly on the energy consumption of individual nodes. The latter is not easy to estimate in advance: the actual traffic patterns as well as the t ...

... The circuit in Fig. 4.9(b) consists of two networks, A and B, connected to each other via the terminal "a-b". In general network"B" is the load and may be linear or nonlinear circuit. Network" A", however, is usually a linear two-terminal circuit of the original circuit exclusive of the load. Hence, ...

Valve RF amplifier

A valve RF amplifier (UK and Aus.) or tube amplifier (U.S.), is a device for electrically amplifying the power of an electrical radio frequency signal.Low to medium power valve amplifiers for frequencies below the microwaves were largely replaced by solid state amplifiers during the 1960s and 1970s, initially for receivers and low power stages of transmitters, transmitter output stages switching to transistors somewhat later. Specially constructed valves are still in use for very high power transmitters, although rarely in new designs.
