... data packets will be reliably transmitted by a Wi-Fi device even when a MWO is operating. In the case where this interference mitigation is not used, the data rate remains at 100% but the BER is much higher, as shown in Table 1. This means that many data packets are likely to be dropped as a result ...

... Determining the value of R in practice has some subtleties if very accurate (1%) measurements are required. ... A. Back-to-Back System Setup Fig. 1 depicts the system setup. The binary data stream at 43Gb/s is parallelized and mapped into complex symbols. By means of the choice of symbol mapping (e.g. QPSK, QAM), bandwidth efficiency and sensitivity can be balanced. In this contribution we use QPSK mapping on ...

Cellular repeater

A cellular repeater (also known as cell phone signal booster or amplifier), in the cell phone industry, is a device used for boosting the cell phone reception to the local area by the usage of a reception antenna, a signal amplifier, and an internal rebroadcast antenna. These are similar to the cellular broadcast towers used for broadcasting by the network providers, but are much smaller, usually intended for use in one building. Modern cellular repeater amplifiers can rebroadcast cellular signals inside a building. The systems usually use an external, directional antenna to collect the best cellular signal, which is then transmitted to an amplifier unit which amplifies the signal, and retransmits it locally, providing significantly improved signal strength. The more advanced models often also allow multiple cell phones to use the same repeater at the same time, so are suitable for commercial as well as home use.
