... Abstract. We prove a general form of bit flip formula for the quantum Fourier transform on finite abelian groups and use it to encode some general CSS codes on these groups. ...

... was that for the top quark [11]. The framework of this paper could equally well be used there. All that is needed is a means to repeatedly apply a specified Hamiltonian that produces various phase inversions and state transitions. For example, it took about 1012 repetitions of a certain experiment, ...

... abandon reality, and fantasize about particles both existing and not existing at the same time. But the experimentally-measured fact of reality is that even for fundamental particles, a particle either exists or it doesn’t. And in fact, quantum theory predicts you will never measure a particle as bo ...

The importance of quantum entanglement has been suggested before, but its precise role in emergence of spacetime was not clear until the new paper by Ooguri and collaborators. Orchestrated objective reduction

Orchestrated objective reduction (Orch-OR) is a hypothesis that consciousness in the brain originates from processes inside neurons, rather than from connections between neurons as in the conventional view. The mechanism is held to be a quantum physics process called objective reduction which is orchestrated by molecular structures called microtubules. The hypothesis, which was put forward in the early 1990s by theoretical physicist Roger Penrose and anaesthesiologist and psychologist Stuart Hameroff, has so far been rejected by the majority of cognitive scientists.
