Hot-Swapping and ORing Ensure Uninterrupted Operation
Hot-Swapping and ORing Ensure Uninterrupted Operation

... Abstract: The telecom system is classified as high-availability systems, which is not supposed to be powered down for service or repair. This kind of system can only be achieved when the cards are serviced by hot-swapping them in and out without powering down the entire system. The telecom system is ...

A Carrier-Based Neutral Voltage Modulation Strategy for Multilevel

... MULTILEVEL inverters enable the synthesis of a sinusoidal output voltage from several steps of voltages. For this reason, multilevel inverters have low dv/dt characteristics and generally have low harmonics in the output voltage and current. Among various topologies for multilevel inverters, the mul ...

Audio power

Audio power is the electrical power transferred from an audio amplifier to a loudspeaker, measured in watts. The electrical power delivered to the loudspeaker, together with its sensitivity, determines the sound power level generated (with the rest being converted to heat).Amplifiers are limited in the electrical energy they can amplify, while loudspeakers are limited in the electrical energy they can convert to sound energy without distorting the audio signal or being damaged. These power ratings are important to consumers finding compatible products and comparing competitors.
