... rise within an MOV. To put it in simpler terms, when a transient current passes through an MOV, this component will heat up because of the BTU equivalent energy within that transient current, and because of the resistance value of the MOV itself. Although this general link exists, it’s often reporte ...

4. Power limitation control at high marine currents

... During short-time period, swell waves are the main cause for variations in the marine current speed and can lead to marine current speed fluctuations on a period about 10 to 20 s. These current speed variations could cause high fluctuations in the power harnessed by a marine current turbine (MCT) sy ...

... Applying a voltage of 0.4V or less at the Enable pin will disable the output, reducing the quiescent output current to less than 1µA, while a voltage of 2.0V or greater will enable the device. If this shutdown function is not needed, the pin can simply be connected to the VIN pin. Allowing this pin ...

Audio power

Audio power is the electrical power transferred from an audio amplifier to a loudspeaker, measured in watts. The electrical power delivered to the loudspeaker, together with its sensitivity, determines the sound power level generated (with the rest being converted to heat).Amplifiers are limited in the electrical energy they can amplify, while loudspeakers are limited in the electrical energy they can convert to sound energy without distorting the audio signal or being damaged. These power ratings are important to consumers finding compatible products and comparing competitors.
