Young people in pursuit for better life and financial stability end up as victims of
human trafficking. Human trafficking is a widespread phenomenon. The trade of
human beings for commercial purposes is morally wrong. Human beings are being
exploitaed in involuntary acts such as forced labor and prostitution.
The act of human trafficking involves violations of human rights, including physical
and mental abuse, rape and forced drug use. According to certain research sources
human trafficking is caused by poverty and lack of education, even issue of legal
status is brought up. However, the causes vary and the the victims deserve more
concern.
Human trafficking has become one of the fastest growing businesses in the world.

third largest criminal industry, with revenues totaling $9.5 billion

Trafficking for sexual exploitation is, for the most part, trafficking for prostitution.
The prostitution deprives women of the opportunity to pursue education and to
achieve their goals and their maximum potential.
It effects the society in various areas of life: social, economic and organizational
fabric of our societies. The occurrence of trafficking is facilitated by globalization and
by modern technologies and circumstances. Trafficking in women involves sexual
exploitation, in conditions similar to slavery. The victims are subjected to violence,
rape, battery and extreme cruelty as well as other types of pressure and coercion.
Nations across the globe are much affected by these plagues to society.
Economically speaking, trafficking or prostitution has often been seen as a
development problem from the supply side. That is, it is argued that young women
and girls are forced (or pressured) into the sex industry by poverty and a lack of
alternative employment and income-earning opportunities.
Trafficking in women does not seem to raise enough attention in public despite of
raising the public awareness about this phenomenon. Trafficked women are often seen
as those who violate the Law. The victims suffer psychological and physical abuse. It
deprives victims of their human rights and freedom;
