**Begin with Flocabulary Video on Number Line**
Integers- are the set of positive whole numbers, their
opposites, and zero.
Opposites are two numbers that are the same distance from 0 on
the number line but in opposite directions.
For example, the opposite of 1 is -1 and the opposite of 5 is -5.

What is the opposite of -7?

**Show Brainpop Video**
The absolute value of a number is its distance from 0 on a
number line. The symbol for the absolute value of a number n
is |n|
Opposite numbers have the same absolute value.
For example the absolute value of |4| is 4 and the absolute value
of |-4| is 4.
Find |3|= 3
Find |-5|= 5
Absolute values are always positive.
Ordering Integers: As you move to the right on the number
line, the numbers become greater.
Order each set from least to greatest:
-9, -12, -4, -15
2, 0, -3, 5, -10
2, 3, -2, -3, 5, -5
