Face of History Prompts:
India: You are Ashoka. Explain the 2 major religions of India, and why
you chose to become a Buddhist. Don’t forget to draw the turban on
your head !
China: You are emperor Qin. Describe your accomplishments and why
you were criticized. Be sure to add your hat on your head with all it’s
beauty ! Or, you may write as a merchant on the Silk Road during the
Han Dynasty. Explain where you are traveling, the products you will
trade and the dangers you face on your journey. Be sure to mention your
respect for emperor Wudi, and all he did for China. Don’t forget to draw
the silk road.
Greece: You are a travel agent in ancient Greece. Explain to your
tourists all the cool things they can do in Athens and why Athens is
superior to Sparta. Draw some of the sites your tourists can visit. Or:
You are Pericles. Brag about your Golden Age, and explain why you fight
to defend democracy and protect all of Athens.
Rome: You are a plebian in the Roman Republic. Explain why you have
chosen to rebel and refuse to work . Describe the Tripartite government
you wish to see be developed in Rome. Be specific, giving good details.
Draw yourself in a Roman toga and draw some of the buildings and
structures the Roman engineers plan for you to build.
